Analytical Exposition is a text that elaborates the writer‘s opinion about a phenomenon. (Teks analytical exposition adalah suatu teks yang mengulas opini penulis tentang suatu fenomena)

• Its social function is to persuade the reader that the writer's opinion is correct by developing an argument to support it (Fungsi teks ini adalah untuk meyakinkan pembaca bahwa opini penulis tentang suatu fenomena itu adalah benar, yaitu dengan cara menyajikan argumen untuk mendukung opini penulis itu)
• Key word: persuade/convince=meyakinkan
• The structure of analytical exposition text: 
• Thesis: Introducing a phenomena and stating the writer's side. Thesis is presented in the first paragraph (memperkenalkan suatu fenomena dan menyatakan sisi yang dianggap benar oleh penulis. Thesis ada di paragraf pertama)
• Arguments: presenting the arguments that support the writer's side. Arguments can be more than one. They are located in the paragraph(s) after the first paragraph. (menyajikan argumen untuk mendukung sisi yang dianggap benar oleh penulis. Argumen ini bisa lebih dari satu. Letaknya argumen itu di paragraf-paragraf setelah paragraf pertama)
• Reiteration: re-stating the writer's side to strengthen the thesis. Reiteration is located in the last paragraph (menyatakan kembali sisi yang dipercaya oleh penulis untuk memperkuat tesis, Reiteration ada di paragraf terakhir.
